K-State Alumni Center COVID-19 Event Protocols

*Face masks on patrons/catering staff/Alumni Center staff is required per the city of Manhattan ordinance No. 7488 until September 7, 2020. We ask that the client reach out to their patrons ahead of time with this information.

*Alumni Center staff will set all event spaces to comply with social distancing guidelines put forth by the Riley County Health Department. All attendees should practice responsible physical distancing by remaining at least 6 feet apart whenever possible.

*If Alumni Center staff is asked to enter the event space to provide an in-person response, staff will abide by the 6 ft. social distancing rule and may ask patrons to keep their distance or will need client assistance to create a barrier while resolving the issue.

*All Center events will be required to turn in an attendance roster either before or no later than the day after an event for possible contact tracing purposes if needed.

*The Center has purchased a disinfecting misting machine that will be used to clean all aspects of event spaces prior to and after the event is completed. If it is a multiple day event, the space will be disinfected each night.

*Center staff will be cleaning high touch areas/equipment as often as needed.

*The Center has purchased no-touch hand sanitizing stations that will be placed at each main entry of the building, in the first-floor catering kitchen and can be set up outside the event space in use.

*The Alumni Center will not require handwashing for the public upon entering the building; however, it is highly recommended, and posters will be displayed to promote handwashing after entering the building and throughout the event.

*No food or beverage is allowed to be brought into the Alumni Center by event attendees. All food and beverages must be served by an approved caterer or boxed and pre-packaged food pre-approved by the Alumni Center manager.

*All event attendees are asked to evaluate their health for symptoms potentially related to COVID-19 prior to attending and to not enter the Alumni Center building if feeling ill or showing symptoms.

*The K-State Alumni Association and Alumni Center cannot prevent you and/or any other attendees from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while attending events in the Alumni Center. Attendees choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 and indemnify and hold the Alumni Association harmless from all liability.
