Current students are very important to the Alumni Association. That's why we have the Student Alumni Board, an enthusiastic group of about 35 students whose primary purpose is to promote K-State. The group was created in 1981 by the Alumni Association in an effort to involve more students in Association activities. Over the years, SAB activities have grown, and members continue to become more involved in a variety of events.

EVENTS FOR CURRENT STUDENTS
Wildcats Forever
SAB provides leadership and support for Wildcats Forever, the K-State Student Alumni Association. SAB helps promote the program and coordinates events and benefits for one of the largest student groups on the K-State campus.

Grad Bash and Grad Breakfast
Each year, SAB hosts graduating students at Grad Breakfast in December and Grad Bash in May. These events provide an opportunity to inform graduating students about the benefits of membership in the K-State Alumni Association. The event features free food and drinks, live music and prizes for drawings.

Wildcat Welcome Day
SAB helps the Alumni Association welcome new students to campus each fall. New K-Staters can stop by the Alumni Center for free ice cream and to learn about the Association's student programs.

EVENTS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
For Sophomores Only
This fun, two-day workshop gives high school sophomores and their parents an opportunity to visit the campus during one of its most exciting and informative times – All-University Open House. For Sophomores Only answers questions about enrollment, financial aid and other student life issues.

EVENTS FOR ALUMNI
Distinguished Young Alumni Award
The Distinguished Young Alumni program recognizes two Kansas State University graduates who are excelling in their professions and contributing to their communities. Nominations are welcomed by anyone in the Kansas State University community. Learn more about the Distinguished Young Alumni Awards.

Hosting alumni
SAB assists the Alumni Association with alumni visiting campus by guiding campus tours and answering questions about K-State.

K-State Alumni Hours
SAB members serve as ambassadors for the K-State Alumni Association and the Alumni Center. Members have one office hour per week during their first year on SAB. During this time they assist the Association with its programs.

University Lounge Hosts
SAB members have the opportunity to host special guests in the University Lounge at home football games.

Tradition Founders Telefund
SAB seeks donations during the Alumni Association's Tradition Founders Telefund, which raises 10 percent of the Association's annual budget.
