John F. Stika

John F. Stika is president of the Certified Angus Beef® brand, leading a dedicated team focused on earning consumers’ trust by consistently delivering the best beef experience possible. Guided by a vision to connect people from pasture to plate, he works to grow global demand for the world’s leading branded beef program while increasing the value of registered Angus cattle — benefiting farm and ranch families and everyone involved in making the brand available to consumers in more than 50 countries.

Stika’s passion for Angus cattle and quality beef began on his family’s farm in central Kansas. He expanded that foundation through bachelor’s and master’s degrees in animal science and meat science from K-State and a doctorate in meat science from the University of Kentucky. He joined Certified Angus Beef® after graduate school in 1999 and has served as president since 2006.

Active across the beef community, Stika values strong mentors, collaborative partnerships, and time with family while caring for a herd of Angus cattle near Creston, Ohio.

He and his wife, Deanna Lea Nichols-Stika ’93, have three adult children, Tavis, Gavin and Maccoy ’23, ’25.
