Homecoming

Kansas State University’s Homecoming, one of the university’s oldest traditions, will take place Oct. 5-11, 2025. The week marks K-State’s 110th Homecoming celebration. Homecoming is a universitywide celebration coordinated by the K-State Alumni Association's Student Homecoming Committee.

“We are excited and ready to celebrate Homecoming with the greater K-State community,” said Tamie Redding, associate director of student programs and K-State Homecoming chair. “Homecoming week is going to be a wonderful time for K-Staters of all ages to connect and salute the spot we love full-well. Just as it always is.”

The All-University Homecoming Committee and the K-State Alumni Association are excited to announce the following updates for this year’s celebration:

The Homecoming Theme

K-State of Mind will be the theme for the 2025 celebration. The theme was selected by the Homecoming Committee and serves as the unifying element for the entire week’s celebration. This year’s theme incapsulates all things K-State: celebrating the people, places, ideas and traditions that define our college experience, on campus and beyond.

The Parade Grand Marshal

Legendary track coach Cliff Rovelto will serve as the grand marshal of the Homecoming Parade. Rovelto retired at the end of the 2024 outdoor season after 32 seasons as K-State's Director of Cross Country and Track and Field.

Under Rovelto's leadership, K-State has developed into one of the top track and field and cross country programs in the country with the Wildcats winning five Big 12 Championships, including four women's outdoor titles (2001, 2002, 2017, 2018) and the women's cross country championship in 1998. His Wildcat teams have also been the runner-up at the conference championship on eight occasions (1999, 2000 women's cross country; 2004 men's indoor; 2001, 2015 women's indoor and 2015, 2019 and 2021 women's outdoor championships).

The parade will take place on Friday, Oct. 10.

5K Run/Walk Philanthropy

Proceeds from the annual Homecoming Philanthropy 5K Run/Walk will benefit Be Able, a Manhattan nonprofit which exists to engage with those in adversity by creating connections, cultivating skills and opening doors of opportunity.

The 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, Oct. 5. You can sign up for the 5K Run/Walk at k-state.com/5k.
