The Wildcat March Book
The Wildcat March: Celebrating Kansas State's 150th book features the 30 fiberglass Wildcats statues that were painted and decorated by
local and regional artists as part of Kansas State University's sesquicentennial in
2013.
Written by co-authors Megan Hanson Umscheid, sesquicentennial coordinator, and Jackie
Hartman, sesquicentennial steering committee chairwoman, this book presents a visual
display of the Wildcat statues that were exhibited in Manhattan, Kansas, throughout
the nine-month celebration.
Read detailed descriptions of each Wildcat, the artists, sponsors and sculptor of
the original Wildcat statue located at the Alumni Center. The book also features a
pictorial timeline, Willie the Wildcat mascot and the Powercat logo histories.

book also go to the Sesquicentennial Scholarship Fund.
