2023 was another a record-setting year for Wabash CannonBall Kansas City! This sold-out event raised nearly $415,000 for student scholarships.

Even though the pandemic didn't allow us to host an event in 2021, we received 57 gifts that contributed over $139,000 to the Wabash scholarship fund and 85 scholarships were still awarded to students on campus.

Thank you to the more than 900 guests who attended our 2020 event at the Overland Park Convention Center, celebrating the 14th annual Wabash CannonBall Kansas City. To date, the gala has awarded nearly 700 scholarships for Kansas City-area students totaling nearly $1.7 million.

It was a record-breaking year as nearly 900 Wildcats gathered at the Overland Park Convention Center for the thirteenth annual Wabash CannonBall Kansas City. This year 55 scholarships were awarded to future K-State students in the Kansas City-area for the 2019-20 academic year with the opportunity for renewal.

The twelth annual Wabash CannonBall Kansas City was held at the Overland Park Convention Center to accommodate nearly 800 guests. This year 55 scholarships were awarded to future K-State students in the Kansas City-area for the 2018-19 academic year with the opportunity for renewal.

The 11th annual event featured an elegant evening of dining, dancing and donating,
and drew a crowd of nearly 800 K-State alumni, supporters and university administrators.
In the first 11 years, the event has built an endowment of nearly $2,150,000 million
and funded 438 scholarships — totaling $1,095,000 — for Kansas City-area high school
students to attend K-State.
The tenth annual Wabash CannonBall Kansas City took place at the Overland Park Convention
Center to accommodate nearly 800 guests. Next year 50 freshmen scholarships will be
awarded to future K-State students in the Kansas City-area for the 2016-2017 academic
year with the opportunity for renewal.
The ninth annual Wabash CannonBall Kansas City was held at the Overland Park Convention
Center to accommodate nearly 800 guests. This year 40 scholarships were awarded to
future K-State students in the Kansas City-area for the 2015-16 academic year with
the opportunity for renewal.
The eighth annual Wabash CannonBall brought in $245,000 to fund scholarships for future
K-State students in the Kansas City-area. Scholarships were awarded to 35 future K-Staters
for the 2014-15 academic year.
The seventh annual Wabash CannonBall was celebrated March 1. In its seven-year history,
the event has raised more than $1.6 million to fund over 200 scholarships for Kansas
City-area students.
The sixth annual Wabash CannonBall was celebrated March 2 and raised $404,770 to be
applied toward scholarship funds for Kansas City-area students to attend K-State.
These funds will allow the K-State Alumni Association to award 25 new scholarships
and 15 renewals, totaling $100,000 for the fall 2012 semester and designate additional
funds to an endowment for future scholarships. In its six-year history, the event
has raised more than $1.4 million for student scholarships.
The fifth annual Wabash CannonBall was celebrated March 4 and raised a record $300,000
in scholarship funds for Kansas City-area students to attend K-State. These funds
will allow the K-State Alumni Association to award 40 scholarships totaling $100,000
for the fall 2011 semester and designate additional funds to an endowment for future
scholarships. In its five-year history, the event has raised more than $1.1 million
for student scholarships.
K-Staters broke records at the 2010 Wabash CannonBall, pledging more than $155,000 at
the event. Combined with sponsorship dollars, more than $259,000 went toward scholarship
funds for Kansas City-area high school students.
K-Staters came together to make the 2009 Wabash CannonBall a night to remember, pledging
more than $83,500 at the event. Combined with sponsorship dollars, more than $207,000
went toward scholarship funds for Kansas City-area high school students.
In its second year, the Wabash CannonBall brought together generous K-Staters, pledging
more than $102,000 at the event. Combined with sponsorship dollars, more than $200,000 went
toward scholarship funds for Kansas City-area high school students.
K-Staters came together to make the inaugural Wabash CannonBall an unmistakable success,
raising nearly $170,000 in scholarship funds for Kansas City-area high school students.
K-Staters generously passed on the pride at the sold-out event that surpassed all
expectations!
