What is K-State’s Day of Giving? Here’s how to share your purple pride 💜
In each day, there are only 24 hours — and that may not feel like much time to really
make a difference. Especially when many of those hours are subtracted for work, driving,
sleeping and the other numerous “to do” items occupying our lists.
However, if you were to take those hours and multiply them by all the K-Staters living
worldwide, that adds up to the potential to make a big impact.
This year, you’re invited to join the K-State Day of Giving — an opportunity for all
Wildcats to celebrate the spot they love full well in a new and exciting way. This
24-hour event starts at midnight on Wednesday, April 9, and will bring the entire
K-State family together to show their support. You can give to whatever program, initiative
or project most inspires you.
Here are four things to know before the big day:
1. It truly is for everyone.
Whether you’re a K-State graduate, fan, student or parent, faculty or staff member, friend or supporter, you’re invited to participate! We believe every Wildcat is an important and valued member of the K-State family.
2. It’s interactive.
Supporters are encouraged to post and share their purple pride via social media and to give to any fund or initiative that is meaningful to them. Share your unique K-State story and make a difference in the areas that matter to you most — whether it's a passion for a specific college, the marching band, the arts, the Alumni Association, student success or the thrill of cheering for the Wildcats on the field. Don’t forget to use the hashtag: #KStateDayofGiving
3. It’s competitive.
Wildcats can help their favorite programs across K-State compete for bonus dollars, earn additional support and claim the top spot on the leaderboard. Be on the lookout for special hourly and daylong challenges.
4. It’s easy.
On April 9, you can make your gift online to whatever designation you prefer.
