K-State License Plate Program reaches $7 million for student scholarships and recognition
Wildcats in four states helped the K-State License Plate Program reach a new milestone. Tax deductible royalties paid on K-State license plates have raised $7 million for student scholarships and recognition of achievements.
“The scholarships and recognition programs for K-State students funded by the License Plate Program is one of the many outstanding ways our Alumni Association connects Wildcats from all over,” said Adam Walker, president and CEO of the K-State Alumni Association. “It’s amazing to see the outstanding support of the K-Staters who choose to drive with pride and support our students and a spot they love.”
The K-State Alumni Association started the License Plate Program in 1996. Plates are available in four states: Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Maryland. Today, there are more than 13,000 plates on the road in those states combined. K-State also has the most affinity plates on the road of any program in the state of Kansas.
