A welcome letter from Richard Linton, our new K-State president

President Linton and First Lady

To my new Wildcat Family,

My wife Sally and I are thrilled to begin our new personal journey at Kansas State University! We have (mostly) arrived in Manhattan and are ready to start up the engine. As we get settled, we look forward to meeting as many of you as possible and getting to know the K-State Family – on both a professional and personal level.

As I begin my role as president, I plan to reach out and listen and learn from you. I am counting on you to help me understand your passion about K-State and ideas that you have about our future together. I already know that you are an important, enthusiastic and passionate friend to K-State, and I intend to harness that energy while moving K-State forward. It is the people who make this university and community special, and I want to learn about your dreams and aspirations for the future of K-State and help build a path to get there.

Sally, Lily, Chris and I are thrilled to be a part of the family and are excited about what the future holds. Look forward to meeting you all!

Go ’Cats!

Richard H. Linton
President
