Nominate a graduate for the Distinguished Young Alumni Award
Student Alumni Board, a program of the K-State Alumni Association, is seeking nominations for its Distinguished Young Alumni Award. The award, which was established in 2012, recognizes two Kansas State University graduates who are using the leadership and service experience they acquired at K-State to excel in their professions and contribute to their communities.
“The Distinguished Young Alumni Award is meant to recognize young alumni who truly embody what it means to be a K-Stater and are not only succeeding professionally, but also are using their knowledge and talents to better the world around them,” said Marcus Kidd, assistant director of student programs for the Alumni Association and SAB adviser.
Anyone may nominate a graduate for this award. The nominee must be 35 or younger as of Oct. 20, 2017, and have graduated from K-State. Nominations are due by midnight Oct. 20.
Selections will be made by a committee of Student Alumni Board members and members of the Alumni Association board of directors. The award recipients will be notified in November. They will be invited back to campus in the spring to deliver keynote speeches and spend time speaking to student groups and university classes. Student Alumni Board also will honor the recipients at a dinner and award ceremony that week.
