You are invited to submit your design for this year's "Beat KU" shirt that the Student Alumni Board will distribute through the Wildcats Forever program. Shirts will be given out at the K-State Student Union the week before the K-State vs. KU basketball game at Bramlage Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020. 

This is an opportunity to spread your work across campus and across the student section at the biggest basketball game of the season! Your goal is to create a respectfully competitive shirt that will generate excitement to beat KU at home! 

Wildcats Forever members will get the shirt for free at the giveaway. Non-members have the opportunity to sign up and pay the $20 fee for a membership and get the shirt at the giveaway. They can pick up the rest of their kit at the Alumni Association. Non-members can also just buy the shirt for $10.

Who Can Submit:

A currently enrolled K-State student, preferably enrolled in the Wildcats Forever program.
How to become a Wildcats Forever member: Get it in KSIS marketplace or come to the Programs Suite at the Alumni Center!

Dates:

Nov. 30: Submissions open.
Jan. 5: Submissions due.
Jan. 20: Finalists will be posted on social media for voting
Jan. 26: Voting ends - Winner will be contacted and needs to respond in three days with all files. Winner will be announced once we receive the files.
Feb. 25 - 26: Shirt giveaway
Feb. 29: KU basketball game at Bramlage. Students are encouraged to wear Beat KU shirts!

Rules:

*It will be printed on a K-State purple shirt
*The design needs to be one color (gray, black, white, etc.)
*All rights will be given over completely to Student Alumni Board
*The design needs to be editable in Illustrator
*Nothing inappropriate can be referenced to KU
*Must have the words “BEAT KU” on the design
*Full front (12:11) or horizontal (10:3) will be accepted
*Designs may not include religious symbols or references to alcohol
*Feel free to use the Powercat, Willie or University Seal in the approved form
*University branding standards must be followed if you incorporate any of these images into your design: www.k-state.edu/vpcm/branding (See page 11 of the Brand Guide)
*If your design does not meet standards, you may be asked to modify it
*All submissions must be original works created solely by the currently-enrolled student
*The winner will be able to utilize the design for their personal or professional portfolio
*Submissions are due Jan. 5, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. to mchalpin@ksu.edu

What You Get:

• Design to add to your portfolio that an estimated 500-1,000 students will receive and be encouraged to wear to the game. 
  
• A free Wildcats Forever membership for the following academic year.
• One extra shirt for a family member or friend!
